Olayide & Ewere Wedding | Mayfair, London, The Connaught Hotel Slideshow

At the end of October 2011 I had a pleasure to work for the fantastic couple who took wedding at the heart of the most fashionable London area– Mayfair in Connaught Hotel. Despite its location it is surrounded with many green areas, which we used as the background for the pre-wedding session. During the session Olayide and Ewere surprised me with their professional approach towards it, and it was absolute pleasure from the first to last minutes. As it turned out the day later, they were also very calm at the wedding and could enjoy the reception and the whole day. I tell you, there were many things to enjoy at their wedding. The wedding and reception had unforgettable atmosphere, with Marylin Monroe greeting the guests and with the photo booth. During smaller ceremonies, the wedding couple have the opportunity to talk, or even dance with almost every invited guest. Owing to it they can experience their wedding more intensively, as well as the guests, for whom the wedding couple is sometimes unavailable during very big receptions. It was definitely a fantastic day with many great pictures taken to remind us of it. Take a look at some of them.

Wedding Photo Booth - a great idea to make your wedding day even more special

Here are some photos from the wedding of Simla and Anvyl, who got married last Sunday. They are definitely extraordinary pictures, and I will show only the last part of the session –photo booth for young couple and the guests. Everything took place in Nonsuch Mansion in Surrey, which is a beautiful place itself. At the end of a day all I had to do was to arrange lamps and the stand, and wait to see what happens. Take a look at some photos that were taken spontaneously and without special posing. Photo Crazy Booth it is.

If you are considering having photo booth at your wedding, you have to remember about a few important issues: time, space, accessories, and good humour of the guests.

Time – think of the best time during your wedding day to organise one hour photo both session. From my experience I can tell you that the best moment is after the first dance and after the cake has been served. When the dance floor is not so packed anymore, it is a sign to suggest guests to enjoy photo both. The place is important for many reasons, both technical and safety ones. The guests need to feel free to fully enjoy themselves, and a photographer needs to feel safe. A photographer has to make sure that the place for photo booth is not situated directly at the passage between reception rooms and the hall, and that the cables, lamps and a stand are not in a way of people who are walking by or dancing. However trivial this may sound now, during the wedding, when everything happens so fast, it turns out how important is to stick the cables to the floor so no one would stumble over them.

Accessories – these are usually wigs, hats, masks, moustache, glasses, funny clothes. You can also add some more stuff to your bag of accessories. If you, or your friends, are a fan of a certain movie, TV series or book, try finding a few additional items that would add colour to your session.

Photo booth is definitely a great idea to make your wedding day even more special, and your wedding photo album, even more joyful and interesting. Make sure that your photographer knows how to prepare a “photo booth” and go for it. Good luck!

DeLorean Wedding Car as Best Man's surprise!

The wedding ceremony and reception is one thing, but undoubtedly bride and groom are the most important people on that day. However, you cannot forget best men – especially those, who actively participate in the organization of a wedding which is not theirs. Asif was the best man of that kind, who I had a pleasure to meet long before I met the wedding couple. Asif made a great impression on me since our first conversation on the phone – he was totally involved in the preparations.  Not mentioning his positive attitude and constant smile on his face – if I hadn’t known he was doing it for the first time I would have though he is a professional wedding planner. Everything was perfectly planned. One of the greatest things he came up with was a surprise for the groom, who is a big fan of “Back to the future”  film trilogy, and consequently a great fan of DeLorean car and Doctor Emmett Lathrop - "Doc" Brown.

The groom was picked up by the very same car which was driven by…..the doctor himself. The happiness of the groom was just priceless.  The car was equipped with all the stuff that the original car from the movie had. Here are some photos from that special day, including the special photo of the groom and his best man. Don’t men just stay big boys for life? It also happens to me sometimes..

Pre wedding photos, Mayfair, London, The Connaught Hotel

At the end of October I had a pleasure to work for the fantastic couple who took wedding at the heart of the most fashionable London area– Mayfair in Connaught Hotel. It is a magical place in many ways. 114 years of tradition, and the fact that it was opened by Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg – Queen Victoria’s late husband.
